Accessibility Statement

It matters to me that everyone can use this site comfortably, including people with disabilities. The site was built with the aim of meeting the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, and the guidelines of Israeli Standard IS 5568 for web content accessibility, at level AA.

What has been done on the site

  • The site is available in Hebrew (right to left) and English (left to right), with headings and labels structured in reading order.
  • The entire site can be navigated by keyboard alone. Every page starts with a "Skip to content" link, and the element in focus is marked with a clear outline.
  • Photos of my work and products have alternative text that describes them.
  • Color contrast between text and background is at least 4.5:1, and the base text size is 16 pixels.
  • The site adapts to phones and screens of any size, and text can be enlarged in the browser without losing content.
  • Form fields are labeled, and errors are shown as text next to the relevant field.
  • Menus and pop-up windows close with the Escape key, and focus returns to where they were opened from.
  • Visitors who have turned on "reduce motion" on their device will not see animations.

How the site was tested

Every type of page on the site was tested with the automated testing tool axe, against the WCAG 2.1 level AA rules, in the Chrome browser on desktop and in a phone view. The issues found were fixed. Automated testing does not replace manual testing, and we keep testing and improving.

Known limitations

  • Some photos of my work were taken in the studio and come from social media, so their descriptions may be general.
  • Payment takes place on Wix's checkout page, whose accessibility is Wix's responsibility.

We keep improving the site. If you run into a problem, we'd be glad to hear about it.

Accessibility at the studio and workshops

Before you come to the studio or a workshop, tell me about any accessibility needs, and I'll do everything I can to adapt the session. I've worked with people with disabilities for many years, and I teach woodworking and carving at Beit Halochem and at the IDF Disabled Veterans club.
